Client Support Specialist – Express Scripts

The primary function of the Client Support Specialist is to support the Client Benefit Analyst team and the Account Management team.  The Client Support Specialist will handle daily tasks required to meet our service level agreements. The Client Services team provides support to customers on Pharmacy, Dental and Health plans coverage. The Client Support Specialist will work closely with Client Benefit Analyst team in a supporting role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare billing to customers and handle inquiries from finance
  • Prepare standard scheduled reports and Ad-hoc report requests for customers to meet reporting needs of the customer
  • Act as the liaison between the customer and other Express Scripts Canada departments which include; Drug Plan Management, DIN Database, Provider Audit, Information Systems, Claims Processing, Finance and Provider Call Centre
  • Work closely alongside these internal operational representatives to identify and resolve customer needs
  • Handle communications to the customer which includes; performance statistics, release information and Information Systems improvements, and other Express Scripts Canada updates
  • Ensure process documentation & contact information is up to date
  • Handle basic inquiries/updates using ESC Web
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent Customer Service capabilities
  • University Degree, College Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in the field of Group Insurance, Pharmacy, Dental or Health Benefits Plans would be considered an asset
  • Able to work effectively with both internal/external customers
  • Must possess attention to detail, and demonstrate responsiveness and a sense of urgency
  • Must have excellent multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with computer applications (MS Office including excel)
  • Ability to work individually and in a team setting
  • Bilingualism (French & English) is an asset
  • Must adhere to the Express Scripts Core Values
