MONTREALOct. 12, 2017 – Roch Carrier’s famous story, “The Hockey Sweater”, is getting a makeover for the 375th anniversary of our city to nostalgics and hockey fans’ delight! Starting Thursday, “The Hockey Sweater – A Musical” will take the stage at the Seagal Centre for a modern musical for the whole family.

Commonly known as «the city of a hundred spires», Montreal keeps track of its religious presence throughout its territory. “Spoken Archives” is the opportunity to be surprised, to rediscover what surrounds us, the richness of words of the past and the beauty of old images.

Indigenize Montreal
October 16 to 25, 2017 – Hall Viger, Palais des Congrès de Montréal
Native Montreal
Montreal was founded on an unceded Indigenous territory. Currently, there are more than 25,000 Indigenous people from different nations living in Montréal. Unlike other cities in the world, indigenous culture is absent from the built environment of this future metropolis of reconciliation.

The Hockey Sweater: A Musical

For Montréal’s 375th anniversary, The Segal Centre has commissioned and will produce the world premiere of the musical adaptation of Roch Carrier’s beloved story: The Hockey Sweater.
