Red Sky to open CINARS Biennale 2018
We’re thrilled that our multi-Dora award-nominated show Backbone is selected to open the CINARS Biennale 2018 in Montreal!
We invite presenters and audiences to come and see Backbone! CINARS is one of the most important international showcases and networking events in Canada. The Biennale gathers more than 1500 professionals from over 40 countries to develop international touring opportunities, and to build solid relationships with stakeholders from all over the world.
Backbone ferociously brings to life the electricity, circuitry, and impulses of a sentient land as it emerges from millions of years of restlessness. With powerful live music and highly physical solos, duets, and ensembles, the performers interpret nature’s spine and landscapes to embody Indigenous mapping and Western cartography. A veritable seismic tremor on stage.
Opening for CINARS, Red Sky Performance will be performed at the Monument-National Theatre on November 13 at 6 pm. Watch an excerpt of Backbone and see the performance listing here
The CINARS Biennale runs November 12 to 17, 2018. Full listing of events is available at www.cinars.org
