Iroquois Caucus meetings taking place in Six Nations

(Kahnawake – 30, Onerahtohkó:wa/May 2023) The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that Ohén:ton Ì:iente ne Ratitsénhaienhs Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer (attending today’s session only due to other commitments), Kenitsénhaienhs Tonya Perron and Jessica Lazare will be attending this week’s Iroquois Caucus meetings being held in Six Nations today (Tuesday) and Wednesday.

Agenda items include updates on the Jay Treaty Border Alliance; Harvest Working Group updates; Ontario Wetland Evaluation System, and a Six Nations Health Presentation on Food Sovereignty.

The Iroquois Caucus was created in 2007 and consists of elected Councils from Kahnawà:ke, Akwesasne, Kanehsatà:ke, Tyendinaga, Wahta, Six Nations, and the Oneida of the Thames.
