New funding opportunity to support First Nations climate leadership

Today, we’re excited to launch a new climate change funding opportunity specific to First Nations.

This initiative, funded by the Government of Québec as part of the 2030 Plan for a Green Economy, will enable you to implement climate change-related projects that meet your needs and priorities.

It namely aims to strengthen the leadership of First Nations in the climate transition, as well as increase their resilience to the impacts of climate change and support their climate change mitigation planning efforts.

First Nations organizations from eight of the ten Nations in Quebec are eligible to submit a project. Only the Cree and Naskapi Nations are not eligible, as they are engaged in a separate funding process.
