The CMA is on a journey of reconciliation, guided by the TRC’s Calls to Action, the Indigenous Health goal, and in allyship with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis (FNIM) Peoples. We have undertaken a number of projects, both internal and external to CMA, focused on advancing reconciliation and improving the health experiences of Indigenous Peoples in medical profession and the health system.
You are an Indigenous HR professional who is knowledgeable and community-rooted and looking for an opportunity to shape inclusive policies and programs. You love collaborating across teams and driving meaningful change. You consider yourself to be strategic, proactive, and culturally grounded. You bring deep understanding of First Nations, Inuit and Métis employment matters and lived experience as a member of a First Nation, Inuit and/or Métis community and/or Territory.

- Developed and implemented FNIM citizenship verification policies and processes
- Supported the creation and execution of ameliorative programs for FNIM Peoples
- Contributed to recruitment and hiring strategies to increase FNIM representation in an organization
- Built relationships with FNIM communities, organizations, and external partners
- Attended FNIM recruitment events and supported outreach initiatives
- Advised on people-related policies and programs with a lens to promote reconciliation with FNIM Peoples in the health system
- Provided education and support to leadership on FNIM hiring and engagement
- Collaborated with internal and external partners to ensure culturally-informed and inclusive practices
